Located in the upper Val Camonica next to the "Isola ecologica" of Pontagna in the municipality of Temù and a new strategic point for helicopter work, tourist flights and rescue in the upper Valle Camonica and Trentino.
It is located in the heart of our mountains to make winter avalanche release and dam control operations even more efficient, and the summer ones for supply the mountain retreat, which is also essential for assistance to mountain rescue and civil protection and to be able to offer a better service to its customers located in the upper valley and western Trentino. Very interesting at any time of the year as a starting point for exciting tourist and panoramic flights in the upper Vallecamonica.
To also support the population of the Upper Valley, even in this health emergency, and allow the HEALTH helicopters to land in the area, ELIMAST is committed, and is taking steps to build a pitch equipped with heating, an indispensable function to allow the landing of rescue helicopters at any time even in winter for Health Rescue and Civil Protection operations. A feature that will thus allow the population of Alta Val Camonica to approach hospitals now many, too many kilometers away, becoming a valid support to its inhabitants especially in these difficult times of the pandemic, and an important future socio-health support to the territory of Alta Val Camonica which until now, unfortunately, was completely without it.
Certification for night flights is also pending, so that it can also be used by Helicopter Rescue at night, and in the future, for passenger transport even in the evening and at night.
